Following his departure from office, Joe Biden boasted about strong-arming the Ukrainian government into firing Viktor Shokin, its top prosecutor.
The remarks were made by Biden when he was meeting with foreign policy specialists.
Biden stated that he "threatened Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in March 2016 that the Obama administration would pull $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, sending the former Soviet republic toward insolvency, if it didn’t immediately fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.” But what Biden failed to reveal in that meeting was that he had Shokin removed due to the fact that he was investigating Biden's son, Hunter.
Pretty convenient, huh?
Since this was all brought to light, Biden and the Democrats have made it a mission to smear Shokin's education, in an attempt to discredit him.
Well today Biden got some bad news.
Ukraine has launched criminal proceedings against Biden on accusations that he purposefully pressured officials into forcing Shokin to resign.
