With no real policies outside of promoting racial strife and fomenting anarchy and a walking corpse as their presumptive nominee, Democrats are betting their future on the destruction of the nation's economy.
Now that "two weeks to flatten the curve" has turned into over four months of crushing lockdowns courtesy of Democrat governors, the America-hating remnants of what was once the party of JFK and FDR simply cannot allow any sort of a return to normalcy.
That includes the reopening of the nation's schools, the latest battleground in the Dems' scorched earth war against President Trump with Nancy Pelosi playing politics with the educational development of tens of millions of America's children.
On Sunday, the spiteful Speaker who has been driven into madness by her burning hate for Trump opposed the reopening of schools at a time of year when students are normally preparing to return to classrooms after the summer break.
On Sunday, Pelosi once again showed up on Sunday morning television where she has been a fixture where she engaged in fearmongering over the coronavirus as a reason to keep kids locked down.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Sunday that the U.S. needs to get better control over the coronavirus outbreak before a widespread reopening of schools can occur safely. In an interview with ABC's "This Week," the House leader said Trump administration officials are not being realistic about the ability of local officials to keep students safe. "When you ... reduce the spread, you can open up the schools, when you reduce the rate of infection in a community," Pelosi said. "But until you do that, you have to be very careful."
She also blasted White House Coronavirus Task Force member Dr. Deborah Birx who she declared that she has no confidence in for the handling of the coronavirus.
Pelosi also exploited the children last month with the cynical accusation that Trump was "messing with' children's health" by calling for schools to reopen.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) on Sunday condemned President Trump and his administration's push for schools to reopen in the fall despite rising coronavirus cases across some parts of the country. “This is appalling. ... The president and his administration, are messing with the health of our children. We all want our children to go back to school, teachers do, parents do and children do, but they must go back safely,” Pelosi said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” Pelosi also called Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos’s comments from earlier on CNN “malfeasance” and “dereliction of duty.”
With just over three months to go until the election, Pelosi is going for the kill and in addition to lobbying for school closures is blocking a second round of economic stimulus payments that would put up to $3,500 into the hands of American families at a time of dire need.
Sadly, this is the state of American politics and Pelosi's hatred for Trump burns so hot that the harm done to the nation's children by hindering their educational and social development is collateral damage in her pursuit of total political power.
Pelosi's use of children as human shields just a sick game and the nation's children are helpless pawns in it.
