Congressman Adam Schiff escalated his attacks on Trump over the weekend, falsely claiming "50,000 Americans are dead" because President Trump was not impeached and removed from office.
This is despicable. Take a look:
“How much damage could he really do? … I don’t think we had any idea how much damage he would go on to do … There are 50,000 Americans now who are dead,” Schiff said.
Schiff's comments are blatantly false considering it was Schiff and his pals who were spending all their efforts trying to impeach Trump while the coronavirus was sneaking itself into America.
And during this time, Trump was taking crucial action to help slow the spread of the virus.
If you recall the House—after a 4 week delay driven by Pelosi—finally transferred the articles of impeachment over to the Senate on January 15th. This is the same exact day the first coronavirus patient is believed to have arrived onto U.S. soil from Wuhan, China. Congress did absolutely nothing to help with the coronavirus pandemic while the trial was going on. Meanwhile President Trump was already taking huge measures to stop it, including creating the coronavirus task force the week of January 27th, as well as imposing the travel ban on January 31st.
So tell me again, Schiff, how Trump is to blame and not you?
