Proving once again what they really care about, several House Democrats have just introduced a bill that would give coronavirus relief money to illegal immigrants.
The Leave No Taxpayer Behind Act was introduced by California Democrat Rep. Lou Correa, along with two other Democratic lawmakers, on Friday. They are hoping to amend the $2 trillion relief package (aka the CARES Act) that was just signed into law to help suffering Americans. They seek to allow illegal immigrants living in America to apply for coronavirus money.

“I was appalled to learn hardworking, taxpaying immigrants were left out of the $2 trillion CARES Act,” Correa said in a statement Friday.
“By casting out immigrants, we are placing some of our most vulnerable residents in grave danger. Every individual taxpayer, irrespective of citizenship status, needs government assistance now.”
Several Democrats have expressed dismay that the initial coronavirus relief package didn’t include financial benefits for illegal immigrants, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who called it “inhumane.”
“To clarify, $1200 checks are ONLY going to some w/social sec numbers, NOT immigrants w/ tax IDs (ITINs),” the New York congresswoman said on Twitter. “Thanks to GOP, these checks will be cut off the backs of *taxpaying immigrants,* who get nothing. Many are essential workers who pay more taxes than Amazon.”
President Trump signed the $2.2 trillion stimulus package on March 17th. It will provide a $1,200 payment to all single Americans earning less than $75,000 per year, or $2,400 for families with a combined total income under $150,000. It will also give $500 for each child under 17.
In order for somebody to receive a check, they have to be a legal citizen and have a social security number.
Liberals think this is not fair, claiming the virus does not care about immigration status, so nor should we.
When asked about why illegals are not receiving payments, President Trump simply said because, "they came in illegally."
“Well, you know, you’re saying ‘undocumented,’ meaning they came in illegally,” Trump answered.
“A lot of people would say we have a lot of citizens right now that won’t be working, so what are you going to do? It’s a tough thing,” Trump told her.

President Trump promised to always put America first from the day he began running for office, and that's exactly what he's done.
Trump mentioned he is working on a solution for illegal immigrants right now, but his priority was making sure that those who are here legally were taken care of first.
As it is right now, legal immigrants—i.e. ones with green cards or those who are under the DACA program—are still receiving stimulus checks.
But that's not good enough for liberals, who seem to often care more about illegal immigrants than they do actual American citizens.
