On Wednesday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson delivered an epic monologue in response to the bombshell report that was dropped against the Biden family and the Big Tech's effort to censor the spread of information relating to it.
"Most of us never imagined it could happen in this country," Tucker Carlson said in the opening of his show. "Yet today it did: a major American newspaper published a story — an entirely accurate story — about a major presidential candidate. The tech monopolies that control American media feared this story might hurt that candidate, whom they favor. So, three weeks before a national election, they shut it down. They prevented the public from reading legitimate news. They didn’t apologize for doing this. They didn’t bother to make up reasonable-sounding justifications. They just did it, exactly as the Chinese government does."

TUCKER CARLSON, FOX NEWS: Most of us never imagined it could happen in this country. Yet today it did: A major Amercian newspaper published a story — an entirely accurate story — about a major presidential candidate. The tech monopolies that control Amercian media feared this story might hurt that candidate, whom they favor. So, three weeks before a national election, they shut it down. They prevented the public from reading legitimate news. They didn’t apologize for doing this. They didn’t bother to make up reasonable-sounding justifications. They just did it, exactly as the Chinese government does. They are monopolies. They have all the power. You have none. They don’t care what you think. This was mass censorship on a scale America has never experienced, not in 245 years. Democracies only function when there is a free exchange of information between citizens. We longer have that. This is a very dark moment.
Here are the details: this morning, The New York Post published a series of emails that describe Hunter Biden’s lucrative relationship with a Ukrainian energy company called Burisma, and how his father, then the Vice President, illegally intervened to help his son peddle influence. We’ve known the outlines of the story for quite some time. These emails add damning detail. No one disputes that they’re real, not even the Biden campaign. They came from an Apple laptop that was dropped off at Delaware computer repair shop last year, and abandoned. After a certain number of days with no payment, the shop’s owner took legal possession of the laptop. He looked inside. There were tens of thousands of emails, including exchanges with representatives of foreign companies and governments. The laptop apparently belonged to Hunter Biden. The shop owner was stunned by the corruption, and afraid for his family. Late last year, he gave the laptop to the FBI, while keeping a copy of the hard drive for himself. He never heard back from the FBI. By May, he was anxious, so he made overtures to Sen. Mike Lee’s office, and at least one conservative nonprofit. Again, no one responded. Finally, the man contacted Rudy Giuliani’s office. Today’s story is the result. The tech monopolies instantly crushed it. An executive at Facebook called Andy Stone, a former Democratic staffer, announced that his company would censor the story — as he put it Facebook would be, quote, “reducing its distribution on our platform.” Twitter quickly followed suit, by locking the New York Post's account. One of the biggest newspapers in the country was banned. Then Twitter went further. The company prevented its users from sharing the Post's story, both privately and publicly. Those who tried received this message: "Your tweet couldn't be sent because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful."
In a separate explanation, Twitter wrote this: quote, "we don’t permit the use of our services to directly distribute content obtained through hacking that contains private information, may put people in physical harm or danger, or contains trade secrets.” Wait. This is the same Twitter that just promoted a New York Times' story about the president's tax returns, which were obviously obtained illegally. And y the way, who was "hacked" here? Twitter never said. As for quote, “trade secrets,” we already knew that Hunter Biden was trading on his father’s office to make fifty grand a month from the Ukrainians. In October, he admitted it: AMY ROBACH, ABC HOST: You didn't have any extensive knowledge about natural gas or Ukraine itself though. HUNTER BIDEN, SON OF JOE BIDEN: No. But I think that I had as much knowledge as anybody else that was on the Board, if not more. ROBACH: In the list you gave me of the reasons why you're on that Board, you did not list the fact that you were the son of the Vice President. BIDEN: Of course, yes, no. ROBACH: What role do you think that played? BIDEN: I think that it is impossible for me to be on any of the Boards that I just mentioned without saying that I am the son of the Vice President of the United States. But what we didn't know, until today, was how brazen all of this really was. Hunter Biden didn't just sell access to Joe Biden, or take cash to influence American foreign policy. It’s weirder than that. As he schemed to extract more money from Burisma, Hunter Biden didn't refer to Joe Biden as "father father." He called Joe Biden, the vice president of the United States, quote, "My guy." On April 13, 2014, for example, Hunter Biden wrote to his business partner Devon Archer, quote, "The announcement of my guy’s upcoming travels should be characterized as part of our advice and thinking.." Hunter Biden added that he needed to be, quote, "protected financially" and wanted a long-term role with Burisma. "The contract should begin now — not after the upcoming visit of my guy," Hunter Biden wrote. “That should include a retainer in the range of 25k..." It's not clear if he got that retainer, but we know Hunter Biden got his high-paying job at Burisma. Then, in May 2014, just weeks after Hunter Biden joined Burisma's board, a top executive at the company let him know what he was being paid for. Quote: "We urgently need your advice on how you could use your influence to convey a message to stop what we consider to be politically motivated actions," the executive said in an email. "Use your influence to convey a message." What does that mean, exactly? Another email from the same executive, obtained by the Post and dated April 17, 2015, explains what it means. Quote: “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure." Oh. Now what Facebook and Twitter are doing makes more sense. If Joe Biden met with Burisma executives at the request of his son, it starts to make it clear that Joe Biden's previous denials were lies. Just last year, Joe Biden was claiming he had no clue what his son was doing at Burisma: INTERVIEWER: Hunter Biden, your son, was getting paid a lot of money to serve on the board of a Ukrainian energy company facing serious corruption charges. You were the vice president running point on Ukraine. The average Joe hears that and says, ‘That sounds fishy.’ What’s your understanding of what your son was doing for an extraordinary amount of money? BIDEN: I don’t know what he was doing. I know he was on the board. I found out he was on the board after he was on the board and that was it INTERVIEWER: But you had a lot of time. Isn’t this something you want to get to the bottom of? BIDEN: No, because I trust my son. INTERVIEWER: But that doesn’t pass the smell test. When you’re vice president, isn’t there a higher standard? Don’t you need to know what’s happening to your family? Don’t you need to put down some guardrails? BIDEN: Unless there was something that was something on its face that was wrong. There’s nothing on it face that was wrong. "Nothing on its face that was wrong." Remember, back in 2018, Joe Biden explained that he got Ukraine's top prosecutor fired. That prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, has said he was planning to investigate Burisma when he was terminated. Here's how Joe Biden explained how he got rid of Shokin: BIDEN: I had gotten a commitment from Poroshenko and from Yatsenyuk that they would take action against the state prosecutor, and they didn’t. So they were walking out to a press conference. I said, nah, we’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, ‘you have no authority. You’re not the president.’ I said, ‘call him.’ I said, ‘I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars.’ I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in,’ I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a bitch. He got fired. That looked a lot like shake-down. But at the time, Biden's handlers denied it was nefarious -- they just said Shokin was corrupt, and Biden was doing the world a favor by getting rid of him. How could Joe Biden have done it for Hunter Biden? He doesn't know anything about Burisma, or what Hunter Biden is doing! Then, In October last year, we showed you a photo of Joe and Hunter Biden golfing with a board member at Burisma, and Hunter Biden's business partner, a man called Devon Archer. The Biden campaign never explained tat picture. Our media never really asked. Instead -- just as they’re now rushing to bury the Post's story -- CNN rushed to Joe Biden's defense: COOPER: The impeachment inquiry is centered on President Trump's attempts to get political dirt from Ukraine on Vice President Biden and his son, Hunter. Mr. Vice President, President Trump has falsely accused your son of doing something wrong while serving on a company board in Ukraine. I want to point out there's no evidence of wrongdoing by either one of you. A few months later, we learned why Anderson Cooper was being so careful. In December of last year, a voter in Iowa tried to ask Joe Biden about Burisma, and his fitness for office. Joe Biden responded by calling the man fat and challenging him to a push-up contest: ("Look, fat, look, here’s the deal" video) You might be wondering what Joe Biden thinks of today's news. Unfortunately, you're not entitled to that information. Joe Biden once again called it a day before noon, meaning that reporters couldn't ask him about the Post's story. Not that they wanted to. We’d like to. We’re not controlled by Facebook, Google or Twitter. We can ask any question we want. Here’s the first one: did any money from Burisma — or any other foreign company or government — wind up in Joe Biden’s pockets, or in the account of any entity he benefits from? We’re not accusing Joe Biden of a crime. We are saying it’s long been a mystery how a man who took a government salary for almost 50 years has lived like a rich guy since the 1970s. Ever seen Joe Biden’s houses? Opulent doesn’t begin to describe the way he lives. How did Joe Biden do that? No one seems especially interested in finding out. We are. And we may. There were a lot of emails on that laptop in Delaware — tens of thousands of them. The New York Post isn’t the only news organization that has copies. They’re out there. Stay tuned.
