Joe Biden is catching heat after making an idiotic blunder in which he claimed that 120 million Americans have died from coronavirus.
During a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, Biden revealed why the Democrats prefer him to stay locked up in his basement when he embarrassed himself with that completely wrong COVID death count.
“What people drastically underestimate is the impact on the medical health of people who, now, everything is complicated,” Biden told supporters during an event on health care in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. “Not only is the healthcare piece, but people don’t have a job, people don’t have anywhere to go. They don’t know what they’re going to do.”
“You have, unnecessarily, now we have over 120 million dead from COVID,” Biden proclaimed.
Strangely enough, right as Biden made this false claim, the live stream appeared to glitch out. Biden’s image froze for over a minute, then the feed cut to a placeholder screen for the broadcaster, then resumed at a different venue for a prepared speech.
To date, the United States has approximately 2.43 million confirmed coronavirus cases and 124,000 deaths, along with 747,000 recoveries, according to the COVID Tracking Project. Worldwide, nearly 9.5 million cases have been confirmed and 484,000 deaths, while 4.78 million have recovered.
Critics were all over this one as we had yet another instance of a senile old man clearly unfit for a seat in the White House.
“WHAT IS GOING ON WITH JOE BIDEN?” Steve Guest, the Republican National Committee’s rapid response director, tweeted out with a link to the clip of Biden speaking.
President Trump’s reelection campaign team went after Biden even harder – calling him “very confused” and comparing it to another of Biden’s numerous gaffes in the past when he said that 150 million Americans had died from gun violence since 2007.
“Joe Biden is very confused,” the campaign tweeted out. “He’s not playing with a full deck, folks. #BarelyThereBiden.”
Biden’s blunders have caused problems for him as it has provided further ammunition for the popular argument that Biden is unfit for the presidency, with a recent poll showing that a significant number of Americans believing that Joe Biden is in the early stages of Dementia.
In the same interview, Biden appeared to forget the name of the Ebola virus.
“We led— Barack Obama led on the corona, I mean, excuse me, in the pandemic that occurred when we were in office. It was kept in Africa,” he told host Joe Scarborough.
Despite Biden’s worsening slip-ups, the polls have continued to reflect that Biden is leading Trump in the race for the presidency – a situation similar to that of 2016 when Trump handily defeated his opponent Hillary Clinton.

Biden was at the event to unveil his healthcare proposals – which is basically just pushing Obamacare — as his campaign revs up for more appearances after months hiding indoors amid the coronavirus pandemic.
